Hankook

Tire manufacturer Hankook was founded in 1941 in South Korea near Seoul as the country’s first tire manufacturer. The company developed slowly until the 70s, and already in the 80s they founded a sister company in the USA.

They are building their main center for development and research in Daejeon, and in the US they are building a technical center in Akron. A production base was built in China during the 90s, and the European Technical Center was handed over to the city of Hannover in Germany, after which the development, production and sale of tires grew rapidly.

Hankook’s extremely high-quality products are currently sold in more than 180 countries and have achieved such success that they are the seventh largest tire manufacturer in the world. Thanks to their rapid development and expansion throughout the world, they are among the rare premium tire manufacturers.

Many premium car manufacturers, especially sports cars, choose Hankook tires. A few years ago, they expanded their factory in Hungary, which is now world-famous and modern by all standards. With the help of their research and development centers around the world, they produce tires that demonstrate excellence in independent tests.
